• The Street Smarts (TSS) is a grassroots nonprofit based in Contra Costa County, founded by Michael D. Campbell in 2016, dedicated to equity and inclusiveness in financial services.
• The Street Smarts is a community of like-minded, diverse college students from mostly non-target schools across America and Canada interested in finance.
• The Street Smarts provides access to leading financial firms' potential internships and insights programs. It also provides financial education through virtual seminars, a speaker series, and training sessions with Training the Street.

Since 2016, we have been on a journey to provide opportunities for students to learn about finance and accounting, and secure internships and jobs in these fields. Founder Michael Campbell started Joyful Noize to help underserved college students discover careers in Finance.
-March 2016
Joyful Noize chooses its first Board of Directors.
-May 2016

Joyful Noize had its first class of 6 interns.
-Summer 2017


Joyful Noize changed its name to The Street Smarts
-December 2017
TSS placed its first accounting interns at PWC.
