For the first time ever, The Street Smarts will be presenting an online summer finance program that will demonstrate a detailed course on ten different financial industries. Financial experts crossing different fields will lead formulas and solutions that best fit the position problems; explain how to stand out from your coworkers; as well include a general overview that may qualify our students to receive a TSS certificate that proves their understanding of investment and consulting fields.

accounting program

The TSS Accounting Scholars program will work with college students to introduce them to career opportunities in the Accounting field.  We encourage our scholars to strive to become part of something that is a little bit bigger than themselves. It is in this manner that they will stretch themselves and grow into excellence and achievement throughout their career.

Financial Literacy Academy

The Street Smarts will be working with high school students from the East Bay area, San Francisco, and in Chicago to introduce financial literacy concepts. Students who learn to manage their finances early and often become adults who are better equipped to live independently. By teaching young adults to make good financial decisions, they learn to pay down debt or avoid it altogether.

Perceptions

“One has not only an ability to perceive the world but an ability to alter one’s perception of it; more simply, one can change things by the manner in which one looks at them.”

Tom Robbins

From basketball to investment

An exemplar story for The Street Smarts.  Jerome Hayden, a man who never not stopped redefining his dreams. From being basketball player at Brooklyn College, Hayden was driven by the competitiveness of Finance. Although Hayden noticed he was an outcast at first, he took advantage of his diverse perspective and now, he is the current vice president at Skybridge Capital.

Time is money

“You can only become truly accomplished at something you love. Don’t make money your goal. Instead, pursue the things you love doing, and then do them so well that people can’t take their eyes off you.”
