The theme of the ASCEND-BLO Network Summit was, “Breaking Barriers-Building Bonds”. It was held on June 19, 2019 at Google Headquarters in Sunnyvale, CA.
Attending the Summit was very similar to church revival. The speakers were dynamic and had the attendees standing on their feet in approval of the workshops and Plenary sessions. It was refreshing to hear the issues of Black led organizations. There were exciting workshops around issues that we as black Executive Directors face.
